PATRIOTS NATION: PLEASE READ

Hello Patriots Nation!

Sure I've been inactive for some time. You didn't need me to spoil all the big news that's gone on with the Pats did you? Nah, didn't think so. I wasn't vocal during the draft either because I'll be 100% honest, I know jack squat about college football. I wait til the pros become the pros, THEN I care about it. Like I've said before, college football is nothing but a speed bump/hiccup/detour/traffic, into Sunday/Monday football.

So onto the news, shall we?

I have some good news, and I have some bad news.

The BAD?

I will no longer be posting weekly updates here during the season.

THE GOOD?

I was able to score a job working for Patriots Nation! They liked what I had to offer, and I couldn't be happier. Patriots Nation is a page that is fully dedicated to the Patriots team 24/7 even in the offseason. With training camp right around the corner, we should be getting back into the grind of Patriots football. I can't wait to really be a part of this. Hopefully whoever reads this will continue reading over at Patriots Nation.

Free Agency and the Business of Bastards

Enjoy this photo. You can use it!

So it's been a pretty insane past couple of days of free agency. Some good things for the Patriots, and some pretty bad things for the Patriots.

So let's start with the bad first. I think the one thing that's really bad for us at the moment is that Julian Edelman is not a New England Patriot. No one has picked him up yet as I'm writing this, but Brian Hoyer, ex Patriots QB, was lobbying for the Browns to go after Julian Edelman. I think Edelman should've been our top priority considering that he surely stepped up this past season, and filled the void that Welker left on our offense. The fact that the Patriots offered him a contract, and he didn't think it was fair tells me that the Patriots tried to lowball him pretty hard on that contract. Edelman's a hard worker, and he deserves a fair pay, and for whatever reason he's not signed by the Patriots by now is really bad for us. The last of Tom's security blankets could very well end up on another team, and of all the names being thrown around when leaving the team, Julian Edelman's name is the toughest to deal with.

Another bad is the failed attempt at getting WIlfork to restructure his contract.

I don't know what went wrong here other than the fact that the Patriots organization wanted him to restructure his contract, and he just doesn't want to. As of right now he's still on the team (7:26pm EST), but that could change at any time. This kinda came as a shock to me because of how involved Wilfork is with the Patriots on, and off the field. He's a community guy, and a fan favorite. He's a captain, and he's a dominant force on the line. For him to ask for his release is surely mind boggling. I'd like to know what went on between the two (Pats and Vince) that made him want this release. If anything I'm assuming the Patriots are pushing for a restructure to get some cap room. Vince is coming off of an achilles heal injury which is devastating for any player, and in Vince's situation it's a 32 year old,  350lb+ nose tackle which is surely an injury that's not in his favor. It's also not worth $7.5 million cap hit which eventually will turn into $11 million on the cap considering the bonuses and such. For a guy who probably has another 2-3 decent years left in him, you'd figure a guy who represented what a true Patriot is would want to be a team guy, and restructure his contract much like Brady's done a few times. I was expecting him to retire a Patriot, and as of right now, I don't think that's going to happen. The good news is that if he does get released then we'll save cap room. The bad news? Well, we're losing a HUGE name, and a HUGE part of our defense. I'd honestly hate to see him go, but if the past few days of free agency, and contract talks have taught me anything it's that this is a business, and at the end of the day it's about the money, and not the team.

Before I get into the good news, there's one more thing I'd like to talk about, and that's DARRELLE REVIS. Listen... I'm not a fan of this signing for a few reasons. Revis is a money guy, and he wants to be paid. He's a guy who's not afraid to hold out, and the second he puts the money ahead of this team, he's gone. It sucks, but it's true. I'll never deny the tremendous amount of talent that he brings to the table, but I really hope that he plays to his full potential, and I really hope that Revis stays with us long term. We have him for 2 years, but it's really a 1 year for $12 million, and year 2 is $20 million, but that won't be paid. I'm sure a long term deal will be discussed down the road, and I hope New England sticks with it. So is signing Revis a good thing? Of course! I don't like the cap hit with the $12 million for a year, I would've said anywhere between $8.5 and $10 million, but who am I to decide? The $12 million was a desperate attempt to fill the void that Aqib Talib left in our secondary. I think Talib is a better back than Revis going by last seasons stats, but Revis was coming off a big injury, and still performed very well, and he can only get better this season. I just liked Talib's size and versatility. I mean Revis is like a few inches shorter, and maybe 10lbs lighter, but that's no big deal. I'm truly excited to see him play as a Patriot, and I'm wondering what number he'll wear. Adrian Wilson paid for Arrington a year supply of baby diapers to take number #24, and now Revis will have to give something up to get #24. No idea what's going on with Adrian Wilson, but if he's not gonna play, drop him, get some cap space, and give Revis #24.

THE GOOD

Wasn't a fan of Brandon Spikes. He surely had his good moments, and his hard hitting was unmatchable, but he not for this team. He's gonna make a great mediocre LB somewhere else, and I'm sure they're gonna love his Peewee Herman dances. Jamie Collins is gonna be dirty for us in a few years. DIRTY.

Remember that guy Aqib Talib who didn't feel like he was a football player until he came to the New England Patriots? That guy is now a Denver Bronco. Another year, another player the Broncos liked from the Patriots, and overpaid to get from us. New England offered Talib a contract, and just like Julian Edelman, he didn't like it, and didn't sign with New England. Why is this good? Well... 6 years $57 million ($26 million guaranteed). That's why it's good. It's good because we didn't overpay for a guy who can't stay healthy, especially during big games for us. He took a shot at the Patriots saying something how his hip was never injured, and that's how New England does their injury reports, but if you watch those games where he was sidelined with an injury, he was favoring his non injured side of his hip. Food for thought. When he's on the field, he's one of the best, if not THEE best, but the guy's never played a full 16 game season + post season. I think when he came here he was disciplined by the Patriot way. When he was in Tampa he was trouble. I think him going to Denver, and signing that big contract will blow his head up off his neck, and he'll go back to the old Aqib Talib. I could be wrong though. Maybe I'm just hoping that happens haha. What I'll never understand is this. Why is this a good thing? We got a CB who's just as good, and we saved money doing so. Not one single Patriots fan is upset with Talib walking away, and us getting Revis. Not one.

Tommy Kelly restructured his contract for us! For a guy who's been on the team for a year, and he's already this dedicated. I like it.

As for the rest of the free agent days. We have some voids to fill. We have a good amount of cap room left, and I'd like to see us come through with the Woodyard signing, and also the Edelman signing. We were looking at Browner, and Lafell, and maybe those guys can come aboard as well.  I was just reading that the Patriots asked about Steve Smith because he was recently released from the Panthers.

As for now, we'll just wait and see what happens.

Thoughts on Welker's hit, Brady not watching the Super Bowl, and a big Change

I'm sure my fellow Pats fans will disown me after this post, but I think it needs to be said.

Just a few thoughts on the recent Wes Welker accusations of him intentionally hitting Talib and completely taking him out of the game. Here's the thing, the only intentional shot out of this whole scenario came from the mouth of Bill Belichick when he said that Wes Welker's hit was intentionally on Talib, and that it was the worst play he'd ever seen. We all know Bill's a sour puss whether he wins or loses a game, but that remark was just outright stupid, and it made him look like a sore loser. Did anyone catch the handshake between Welker, and Belichick after the game Sunday?

When they showed this on television it had to be the coldest thing I'd ever seen in my life. Welker was lucky he didn't get frostbite from that handshake.

At first I agreed with what Bill said in the statement, of course me being a bias Pats fan, but after a few days, and seeing all the people agreeing with Bill, and all their negativity towards Wes Welker, the man who did so much for us, I became ill. The crap people say about this dude is sickening. Bill Belichick, and Pats fans need to stop being bitter over stupid stuff like this. If they were going to send someone out to hit Talib wouldn't they send out someone a foot taller, and possibly 40 lbs heavier? Of all people, Welker? I don't think so. Bill Belichick needs to learn how to take losses, coach better in bigger games, and stay less focused on his cheap shots after losing the AFC Championship games 2 years in a row.

As for Brady saying he's not watching the Super Bowl? Don't be an asshole, Brady. I apologize for using that language, but we all know come Sunday you'll be sitting in your mansion in California (that has a moat), quietly in your man cave, wearing your Patriots Wes Welker jersey, and rooting for one of your best friends in the game. Why be a poor sport? Not to mention he's going up against the big mouth Richard Sherman who you had some minor beef with last season, and what would be fulfilling than watching on of your best friends (Wes Welker) win something you were never able to give him? Tom, I really hope you use this as some kind of motivation for next year. I hope this leaves a bad taste in your mouth, as well as Bill's, because just as much as you hate losing, and not going to the Super Bowl, the fans hate it that much more. Technically it's not about us, it's about the team, but I can't help thinking you've become nothing more than a new age Donovan McNabb. Bring your team that close, but don't get to the big one. You're better than that. You're better than most. You have all the potential to be the best that's ever played (you are arguable the best there is right now).

Let it be known that there is no other QB/Coaching duo in the league right now that is better than Brady, and Belichick, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

We need a change, and currently in the Patriots organization that's what you're seeing. Pepper Johnson currently departed from the team, and he's been with Bill Belichick for a very long time. Dante Scarnecchia has also left the Patriots organization after 30 years with the team. Lastly the TE coach Godsey who went to the Texans to work with their new coach Bill O'Brien. So as you see things are changing up a little bit around there. We still could also see Josh McDaniel's take the Browns head coaching job next season too. No offense to McDaniel's but I'd love for him to be anywhere but New England.

This off season I think the Patriots need to really think hard about their future, and really pick up on some key free agents. I'm not saying go out and pick up the best names in the league, but I think they should really consider signing some proven players. I think they have to keep Edelman. Why make the same mistake twice? I'll post later on once free agency hits who I think the New England Patriots should make a run after. We know it's never their busiest time of year, but something's telling me that they're going make some kind of move.

Hope everyone enjoys their offseason.

Go Pats!

AFC Championship Game @ Denver and future thoughts

No need to analyze that game. Patriots were outplayed in every way. I think about a lot of things that happened to us this year, and I can't help but be proud of all we accomplished. It sucks to lose, and it sucks to not go onto the Super Bowl, but it seems like the team we had this year was ready for anything. We were a bunch of tough SOB's this year, and to think we won't have that mentality next year is stupid. I'm ready for this. I'm ready for the off season, and I'm ready the Summer. Patriots fans we have A LOT to be thankful for with this team. Every single year we're in it. There's no hoping because our team just wins, and wins, and wins. Eventually we're going to break in and get to that Super Bowl.

Going into the 2013 season no one thought they'd make it back to the AFC Championship game. Not even some of their fans. They proved everyone wrong once again. If you look at all the players we lost up until this game today, you'd really have to wonder where we could've gone if every stayed.

Welker
Hernandez
Mayo
Adrian Wilson (never played this season)
Wilfork
Kelly
Spikes
Gronkowski
Talib especially in the last game where we really needed him the most. He was injured last year in the AFC Championship game against the Ravens as well.

With that list plus more, that just made it seem like our chances were slimmer.

That being said the list of people who stepped up this year is too big to name. The rookies from Rutgers really had big years with a few picks to their resumes, and even guys like Jamie Collins proved that they were worthy enough to start.

Imagine if our team could stay healthy. I think the Patriots are one WR away from being a high powered offense, but I'll get into that in a few months when the off-season begins. There's a lot of people in the free agent market, and in the draft we could pick up. I know we're not big signings, but I think we have to take some kind of shot if Brady wants to get a Super Bowl ring one more time before he retires. Perhaps a guy like Andre Johnson? You never know.

That being said, it's been a good year. I'm proud of my team all of the way.

Go Pats.

Thoughts Going into the AFC Championship Game

In case you were living under a rock, TOM BRADY WAS SICK WITH AN UNDISCLOSED ILLNESS!!!!! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?!?!?!? Sports news channels were constantly updating us (about 10,000 times) that Brady was missing from practice with an undisclosed illness (the Great Plague? T-Virus? Motaba?). Brady's mysterious illness caused people to push their panic buttons way too fast, and way too early before getting the full details on what was wrong with him. I mean who knew that the one and only Tom Brady could get sick? So as people were blowing Tom's flu like symptoms out of proportion he appeared in practice yesterday, and even spoke to the media with smiles, and determination. He did look a bit pale/yellowish in the skin which I'm sure people freaked out about as well, but he's alive, and that's a positive sign for Patriots Nation. If you have any doubts about Brady's health, read about the Patriots/Steelers AFC Championship game in the 04/05 season where Brady played with a high grade fever.

So now we're on to Denver. The Patriots will be leaving Foxboro today and heading to Mile High City in hopes of winning their 8th AFC Championship in Patriots history, and moving on to their 8th Super Bowl appearance in 30 years. We all know what happens when there's a weekend match between Brady and Manning. Constant debates on who the better QB is, and who's done more in their career, and really it just get tiring. Both are great, both have proven their worth for as long as anyone can remember, and let's just forget who the better QB is, and give them both the respect they deserve.

Facts and Numbers for the Game

- Since 2001 the Patriots are 2-4 when playing in Denver. One of those losses was in the playoffs against the one and only JAKE PLUMMER haha.

- Tom Brady against Jack Del Rio defenses: 171-for-235 (73 percent) for 1,771 yards, 17 touchdowns and 0 interceptions (Courtesy of WEEI).

- Patriots are 7-2 in AFC Championship games. Brady is 5-2.

- History of Belichick vs. John Fox. 5-1 in favor of Belichick. The last time the Patriots lost to a John Fox team was in 2005 when Stephen Davis, and Jake Delhomme were still relevant.

- Belichick is 4-0 against  John Fox coached Denver Broncos (all games played in Foxboro).

You like how I threw in the Hulk Hogan colors for that? He's supporting the Pats so I gotta show some respect to the greatest champ of all time!

THE DEFENSES

Both teams are missing key defensive players. The Broncos are missing Von Miller, and Chris Harris, but still have guys like Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Champ Bailey. As for the Patriots defensive players who are down, that's no secret. We've dealt with these injuries all season long, and overcame a lot to get where we are. I think New England's defense is playing a more physical defensive game. I think the Patriots defense going into the playoffs was top 5, and they're definitely going to pose more of a threat than the Chargers defense did. They only touched Manning once, and that's not going to be the case for the Patriots. We're gonna hit him every chance we get.

The last time these two teams played the Patriots only had one sack, and one interception on Manning as to where the Broncos had 3 sacks, and 2 of them were from Von Miller. I don't want to discredit the Broncos defense because they've had a decent season. I can understand them stepping up and being a better defense at home especially with the AFC Championship on the line, and the chance to go to the Super Bowl. That being said, I think the Patriots defense is coming to play, and they're going to have to play 4 quarters of football. I remember when Ty Law and Harrison shut down Marvin Harrison, and Ty Law making 3 picks on Manning in 2003. The same thing happened a few years later with Asante Samuel, and we still lost that game. The key here for New England's defense is to limit those receivers, and running game. We can't have Knowshon Moreno running for 200+ yards again. That's just not okay. I think with presence of Sealver Siliga in the middle, the Broncos run game won't be as potent. Our corner's and linebacker's should just do what they did the last time. Limit every Bronco's receiver to 5 receptions or less, and under 50 yards receiving a piece. That can be a HUGE factor.

I think the defensive match ups would be ideal.

Talib on D. Thomas
Dennard on Decker
Arrington on Welker (only because of speed)
Collins/Hightower on J. Thomas/J. Tamme

Collins was impressive against the Colts so I'm hoping to see more of that guy against the Broncos. He's unbelievably talented. The Denver Broncos pulled a page out of the Indianapolis Colts book and signed recently released ex Patriot Cornerback Marquise Cole. I'm sure it was another defensive playbook signing, but ultimately both teams have to play each other and execute their calls. At the end of the day it's man vs. man on the field.

THE OFFENSES

We all know who huddles up with Peyton Manning before he puts on a show. From the two Thomas' to the Decker, to Tamme's, Dreesen's and that little guy Wes Welker. He's got a decent running game to compliment his passing game, and that's going to be our biggest challenge this game. Manning's broken records all season long, but Manning didn't have such a great game the last time we played. In fact, Brady outplayed him in every category of that game. Sure we had Gronk for that one, but I don't think it would've mattered.

That's not very Manning like if you ask me, but I don't think he'll play like that again. I think Manning the second time around is a lot more lethal. I think his receivers stats are going to be higher, and better. I don't think Denver's run game will be as potent, but the passing game will be.

As for the Patriots it's going to be ground and pound game. We all see what Legarette Blount's been doing, and with the compliments of Ridley, and Vereen behind him, that's gonna be HUGE for us. The last time these two teams met Blount only had two touches, and the main back was Bolden. I mean obviously Blount is on fire so you'd have to go with the hot back, but you never know with Belichick. He's always throwing us for a loop. The good thing is that all of our receivers were at practice including Dobson, and Thompkins. I think if Dobson can stay healthy for the game that he'd be a major factor for us. He didn't play the last time these two teams met, and with a depleted Denver secondary, he could be a real threat.

FINAL THOUGHTS

There's something about this team right now that I can't pin point at the moment. I've read a few articles explaining that this Patriots team reminds them of the old Patriots team. I don't necessarily agree with that because I feel like that's something that can't be repeated or felt again. At first I felt like it was the team of old where we had no stars, and just played a tough game of football. It's like that to an extent, but there was a different kind of heart that football team possessed with guys like Bruschi, Law, Vrabel etc... I think the new fire ignites with the new guys who are fueling it. Guys like Mankins, Talib, Blount, and even Brady just firing guys up before the game. We have that old underdog tough guy attitude, and we're coming out to play. I shouldn't feel this good about the game, but I can't help it. I just think the Patriots are playing with that chip on their shoulder of being underdogs to a team that looked great all season with big name players, as to where the Patriots beat them, with next to nobodies. I think we're a much more physical team on defense, and a potent enough offense to slow down the game, and take advantage of the Broncos. I think we're emotionally the better team as well. This feeling that I have is something I haven't felt for a very long time. Even with all the games we've played, and the chances we've had, this game is something I'm more than positive about. Maybe I'm bias, maybe it's because I want the Patriots to be in the Super Bowl in my home state in which I probably won't even be able to afford to go to. I just feel good about our chances. I feel good against the Broncos, and I feel like we're Super Bowl bound.

The game isn't going to be a blow out, and it's going to be a lot closer than the Colts game. Let's face it, the Denver offense isn't a bunch of scrubs. That's Peyton Manning on the other side of the ball. I'm just going to say that the Patriots won't have to work the last minute to get the win, and that the Broncos won't go down without a fight. It's going to be a great game, and probably one of the greatest games of all time. It's the high potent offense of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos vs. the Patriots.

Regardless of who wins this game it's been a hell of a ride for our Patriots. They've gone through so many changes this past season, and they're still where they belong, right at the top. If you've ever had any doubt on the greatness of the Patriots on Bill Belichick, it's time to change all that. No matter what you throw at us (cheating, spygate, Brady crying) it doesn't matter. We've proved that we're one of the greatest teams the game has ever seen.

Wherever you are watching this game, make sure you scream loud, and proud for your Patriots loyal. Act like you're at the game. Hell, even hire a vendor to walk around the living room offering drinks, and hot dogs. Just don't bring the bad weather in with you.

How I Became a Patriots Fan (Revisited)

People often ask me how I became a New England Patriots fan living in New Jersey. Many times I've been called a bandwagon fan, a front runner fan, a fairweather fan, and anything else you can think of that will disregard me from being a true fan. I love telling the story, and I personally love shutting people up who use the term "bandwagon" fans as a reason to discredit their loyalty and love of their team.

This is how it happened.

I can't exactly pinpoint the date of when and how it all started, I just know it was towards the mid 90's. I remember it was around the time kids were starting to wear Starter caps, and wear fitted baseball hats. I had seen kids wearing all kinds of sports teams from all different areas in the country, and I took it as a trend of what the cool kids are doing. I had seen Florida Marlins hats because they were a new team. I had seen kids wearing 49ers hats, Cowboys, Raiders, the really old school gross orange Buccaneers logs, and this was something that I wanted to pick up on. In my childhood pictures it showed me wearing New York Giants, and New York Mets uniforms. Looking back I might consider this child abuse haha. Of course when the Cowboys were the best team in the NFL I'd watch the Super Bowls and rooted for them  (I mean who didn't?). It was at the point where I wanted my own. I wanted to buy a hat of a team that no one else had. Remember, I was only 9 years old at the time haha. You see where I'm going with this?

One random night my mom went shopping at a place called BJ's Wholesale Club on Route 1 in Edison, NJ. Towards the back right of the place they had a sports section, and they had a wide array of white capped NFL team hats. I had picked the best looking hat they had not knowing exactly who the team was. I was unsure if it was either the Seahawks or Patriots. I was a dumb kid and confused the shape and colors of the logo, but never the less my mom bought the hat, and I wore that damn thing everywhere I went. I guess my family started to take notice. A good portion of my family members are big football fans, and they were the one's who clarified the team on my hat. I remember my Aunt Jo telling me about this young Quarterback the Patriots had, and how he was going to be the next great thing. Some guy named Drew Bledsoe. I think she even got me his 24kt gold rookie card and I still have it somewhere still in it's wrapping and box. From there on out I was showered with Christmas and birthday gifts that were all Patriots things. I had these cool little figurines of both the Packers and Patriots from Super Bowl 31. I had a Patriots helmet lamp, and rug. I had like 3 Drew Bledsoe jerseys that made me seem dirty in middle school because that's all I wore lol. It just kind of came about, and I stuck with it. We were a pretty crap team, and went through so many coaches after Parcell's left (even Pete Caroll). One of the biggest things that upset me was when Curtis Martin left to become a New York Jet. That's where I lost all of my respect for the guy, and still haven't found any to give to him this very day.

When 2001 rolled around, I kind of gave up on the Pats after Bledsoe went out. I had no idea who Tom Brady was because I wasn't a college football fan at all. I just assumed that if he were good enough he'd start over Bledsoe, but that wasn't going to happen. I was surprised every time they won a game, and when they maid the playoffs I wanted to cry. Between the heartfelt emotions from 9/11, to a team that no one would ever pick to be in the playoffs, I was proud of my team, and the only team I wanted to see in the playoffs that year were the Packers. I wanted Drew to come back, and I wanted REVENGE! When Brady went down in Pittsburgh, and Drew came in I thought that was the greatest thing haha. It was impossible for a Green Bay/ New England super bowl rematch at that point because the Rams had slaughtered the Packers the week before that. When it came time for the Super Bowl and Belichick picked Brady over Bledsoe for the Super Bowl I was dumbfounded. I was like HOW THE HELL DO YOU PICK THE NOBODY KID OVER DREW?!?!??! Well Tom Terrific played and the rest is history. I still consider Drew to be a Patriots over teams like the Cowboys, and Bills. Those were filler teams that he played for just because he was good enough to be an NFL player, but no longer good enough to be the Patriots quarterback. I was ready for the same thing in 2008 if the Patriots were to keep Cassel over Brady if we won the Super Bowl. It's just how it goes. As great as Brady is, we felt the same way about Drew Bledsoe. If the Pats didn't win with Brady, I thought that Bledsoe would've eventually gotten a ring on his own. Our defense was just that good that any team would have a hard time beating them.

Well that being said, that's my story. I've seen my team play live over a dozen times, and I make sure I go out to Foxboro every single year to see them play a game. Sometimes I see them away.

I take full pride in my team, and I'm more passionate about my team than any person I know when it comes to their sports teams. I'm Patriots fan 24/7 365, it doesn't stop for me. When their season ends, I'm already counting the days til team workouts. Of course we have all the fun things like Free Agent signings, Trades, and the NFL Draft. This is the love of my life so this technically means I'm married to Giselle Bundchen (did I find a loophole to that lol? not really? okay then haha).

I love this team.

Divisional Championship Game vs. Colts

43 points
0 TD's thrown by Brady
4 rushing TD's by BLOUNT
2 rushing TD's by RIDLEY
2 interceptions by DENNARD
1 sack 1 interception by COLLINS
1 Deion Branch inactive for the Colts...

and a partridge in a pear tree.

The New England Patriots are moving on to their 3rd straight NFC Championship game and Tom Brady's 8th AFC Championship game appearance in his career. Going into this game with the bad weather it was almost a sure thing that the run game was going to be a factor in this win. Blount and Ridley surely showed their dominance.

For once, Brady isn't going to be the talk of the town. This guy Blount guy has really made a name for himself in New England. Another big name tonight was Jamie Collins. Just a few days after Brandon Spikes was put on the IR for an injury, and being late to a meeting, people really thought that the Patriots were going to have a hard time stopping the run. Donald Brown was someone who's been under the radar with Trent Richardson stealing the name spotlight, but definitely not the stats. They only gave Richardson 3 attempts and he had a combined total of 1 yard. The Patriots have really been dominant up front recently and with guys like the Jones', Siliga, Nink, Collins, and Vellano rocking that line, I can understand why these teams are having issues.

Let's face it, Brady and his receivers were left out of the spotlight but Brady made the passes when he needed to, and let the run game take the lead.

There's no hate for the Colts team. I'm not a trash talker by any means unless someone tries to pull the Spygate/Cheating/Refs card. The Colts are a young, talented football team. Andrew Luck is still growing, and Chuck Pagano has them on the right track. The Colts tried to play the mind games this week by signing Deion Branch which ultimately made him look like a fool, and an a--hole. I also thought T.Y. Hilton was faking the knee injury. It went from his knee after knocking knees with Arrington to his hand, and back to his knee. They knew Hilton was a factor against the Patriots so maybe they thought if the Pats thought he was injured they'd give him some room. Nope. Not working this time.

My prediction for the Colts this off season is that they're gonna pull a Peyton and take away a key receiver from them, and that guy is Eric Decker. Hey, it can happen especially if Irsay wants to overpay.

So next week we either see San Diego at home, or we're shipping West to Denver. It's really impossible to say we'd rather have one team over another because both teams are really hot right now. The Chargers are playing with fire, and the Broncos are...well the Broncos. I'm sure they want revenge as well. Either way we're gonna see some familiar faces whether it be Woodhead, or Welker. I think whoever we play it's gonna be a good game.

Let's celebrate for now Pats fans because we deserve it. Come Monday we got a whole new game on our hands.

Go Pats!
