Brady or Rodgers?

I see this question on every single Facebook sports page there is. I hear this question all over the radio. I SEE THIS QUESTION ON MY TELEVISION SCREEN WHEN I'M AT HOME?

WHO IS THE BETTER QB, RODGERS OR BRADY?!?!?!?!?!?

Then I ask my self a question... are you F$@king kidding me? Here's the thing, I'm gonna steer away from my bias opinion and not choose Brady right of the bat. In fact I'm not even going to choose Rodgers right off the bat. Actually, now that I think of it, I won't choose either of them at all because this is a stupid question to begin with.

I am not here to bash either quarterback of course because I'd choose either one of them to lead my team to victory. My question is why aren't there more quarterbacks mentioned in the question of "who's better?" Just 2 years ago we couldn't hear enough of how amazing Peyton Manning is and now that he's injured, you don't see him an any of these "who's better?" questions. What about Ben Roethlisberger? Doesn't he have two Super Bowl rings? Isn't he the toughest QB in the game? Just cause he doesn't throw 40 touchdowns a season, doesn't make him a lower quality quarterback. What about other guys in the game like Brees? Eli Manning? They've won Super Bowls, and they're both players who compete at a high level. Then there are players who haven't even won Super Bowls but have the high quality quarterback to do it. I think guys like Phillip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, and even Matt Cassell have the potential to do something great. Some of the rookie QB's from the past few years as well are showing promising signs. Not comparable yet, but eventually they will be.

I'm assuming the question of Brady and Rodgers is based on this season. Statistically, Rodgers is having the better season. He has 20 TD's, and only 3 picks this season. Oh his completion percentage is 71.5 and his passing rating is somewhere in the mega billions! or just 125.7 haha. He's on track to have a +50 Touchdown season which would mean he could break Brady's record. Brady right now has 16 TD's, and 8 picks. His completion percentage is 67.5 with a passer rating of 104.8. So clearly, Rodgers is having the better season. There's no reason to compare schedules, compare players on the team, because both quarterbacks are able to work past both of them. Whoever they play on the weekend comes prepared to play against both greats. A lot of people choose Rodgers, of course. He's young, talented, and in my own personal opinion on track to being one of the greatest ever. People tend to forget the age difference between Brady (34) and Rodgers (27. 28 in December). You constantly hear that Brady should be declining but in all honesty, I haven't seen much of that lately, have you? I'm pretty sure he was the first unanimous MVP last season at the age of 33.

My point is though. Stop comparing the two quarterbacks. Unless you're worrying who to start in your fantasy league, who to draft in your Madden 12 fantasy football league, or who's jersey you'd like to wear without being told "he sucks", then you have nothing to worry about. Both QB's are great with the team they're playing for. Enjoy the show they put on for you every weekend during the season. That's what I love about football.
